Hero Arts Summer Catalog Blog Hop

05/17/2017

Note: Don’t miss this week’s Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

Hero Arts Summer Catalog Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Hero Arts Summer Catalog Blog Hop! Most of you know I LOVE summer… and I LOVE everything about the ocean… so I was super excited when Hero Arts asked me to be part of this blog hop! As soon as I saw this Blue Whale Layering Set, I knew I needed it! I used Wet Cement as the base then Deep Ocean and lastly Navy Ink to stamp the whale.

Blue Whale Layering Stamp Set, Hero Arts

I then masked the whale and inked the background with the inks from the Mermaid Ombre and Ocean Ink Pad

To make the sentiment POP I heat embossed it with white powder. Hero Art white embossing powder is my favorite!

Remember when embossing to treat the cardstock with the powder tool so you won’t get any stray flecks on your dark background

The bubbles stamp is one of my faves, it is PERFECT! I stamped these in the Unicorn White Pigment Ink. To finish it off I stamped the little scuba guy, it’s great how this part really helps the whale look BIG!

Giveaway:

We will be giving away three $25 shopping sprees, drawn from comments left across all blogs in the hop. Please comment by Wednesday, 5/24 at 11:59pm PT and we’ll announce the winner the following week.

Next on the hop is: Clare Prezzia

Brilliant card! Love the use of the torn paper edge with the waves at the top and the white pigment bubbles. You’re right about the little diver helping with scale. Also like the use of wet cement for the underbelly. I think this whale is my favorite layering stamp and is definitely my favorite stamp from this release. Thanks for showing me a great way to use it!
