Have you heard of my Get Cracking on Christmas Series? Well, this year is going to bigger and better and more inspiring than ever! So here are the details:
Let’s be honest.
November rolls around and we say to ourselves “man I should’ve started making holiday cards A LOT sooner.”
or
“I have so many wicked cute holiday sets that I haven’t even had a chance to play with yet.”
I am going to guess that most of you who are reading this post fall into one if not both of those scenarios. So for the past 2 years, some of my crafty friends and I have been challenging each other to create at least one-holiday card a month. I mean, that would give me 12 handmade holiday cards to send out at the end of the year and that’s better than none.
We are 5 months away from Christmas!!
This year I am excited to have MORE crafty friends participating with me and each month I am offering a GIVEAWAY! More details on that below.
On the third Thursday, we are going to post a holiday creation and hopefully inspire you to create one too!
If you do end up making any please leave a comment below with a link, or tag me on instagram so I can see! We are also going to use the hashtag #getcrackingonchristmas. This is how I will choose the winner, more about that at the end of this post.
We can do this! We can create holiday cards all year, and be a little bit more prepared for the holiday season!

Get Cracking: One of a Kind Snowflake
This month Colorado Craft Company graciously offered to send us some stamps to play with. I am a sucker for all things snowflake and snowman so I had to choose Big and Bold Warm Wishes Snowflake
I created an alcohol ink background on Yupo paper, and then used the Alcohol Lift Ink to stamp the snowflake. After you pull the ink off the background you can then stamp it onto white cardstock, which is what I did.
I couldn’t decide what sentiment to use on the alcohol ink one so I will have that one for a later card. I also added a few sequins to the card.
Be sure to check out Colorado Craft Company. They have a lot of fabulous stamps to choose from. I love their new fruit images!

I did manage to do this idea in 2017, every month I would make two special seasonal cards so that I had a stash ready at beginning of December. But ill health has stopped me since. Good luck to everyone that enters the challenge it’s worth the cards being ready let alone the chance of prizes from each stop. Stay safe and happy creating everyone x
Gorgeous card and
neat looking star.

Hi Jenn. I barely know this company and then I saw a pear done by Debbie Hughes I believe and went over to SSS to look through ALL their stamps. I put 3 or 4 in my WISH LIST…. LOVE THEM. This one is fantastic and the alcohol ink lift worked out so well to give it that snowy ephemeral look! Perfect technique for this card. I am going to “get cracking” real soon and will share. Take care. Jeanne
Very interesting style! I like it a lot and will try it out!
Love it, just bought it, I love all your ideas : )
I’ve already made one with this stamp. I will however try your style with other inks. Thanks for the encouragement to start early.
So pretty. I like two cards and both wonderful
Very beautiful card!
