Get Cracking: Holiday Turnabouts

01/17/2019

Get cracking on Christmas | shurkus.com

Ok, let’s be honest.

November rolls around and we say to ourselves “man I should’ve started to make holiday cards A LOT sooner.

or

I have so many wicked cute holiday sets that I haven’t even had a chance to play with yet.

I am going to guess that most of you who are reading this post fall into one if not both of those scenarios. So last year  I was talking with my crafty friends and I mentioned it would be fun to challenge each other to create at least one-holiday card a month. I mean, that would give me 12 handmade holiday cards to send out this year and that would be way more then I sent out last year.

So each month on the third Thursday a few of us girls are going to post our holiday creation and hopefully inspire you to create one too! If you do end up making any please leave a comment below with a link, or tag me on instagram so I can see! We are also going to use the hashtag #getcrackingonchristmas

We can do this! We can create holiday cards all year, and be a little bit more prepared for the holiday season!

For both of these cards, I used Concord & 9th’s Turnabout stamps. Using Distress Oxide inks, I stamped each layer of the stamps filling in the background. These are very east cards where you could mass produce them if you wanted too. With your stamp positioner, and you stamp all one ink color on your stack of cards, then the next and so forth.  I love how these cards came together and as always I love the non-traditional colors 😉

Ok, time for you to go visit Cheiron, Libby, and Caryn to see what they created THEN your turn to make a holiday card! I can’t wait to see what you make 🙂
