Hi, everyone! I am here today with the latest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. If you love Lawn Fawn you should definitely follow us over on that site- we have a fabulous team that offers inspiration and chances to win gift certificates to Lawn Fawn! This week we have a card sketch to inspire you!
Before I share my card I wanted to let you know that the registration for my next online class is open. It is not focused on Lawn Fawn, but it is a great class for all cardmakers. You can see more details here: Distress Ink Techniques for Cardmakers
I will have other Lawn Fawn specific online classes soon, if you want to be sure to hear about all of these fun announcements, be sure to subscribe to my email newsletter.
Alright, now to the card I have to share with you-
Flamingo Together, Lawn Fawnatics
I was having so much fun preparing for my next online class, Distress Ink Techniques for Cardmakers, I couldn’t stop playing with my Distress Inks and of course, I couldn’t wait to play with the new Kitsch Flamingo Distress color. This card is all Kitsch Flamingo paired with what else, but flamingos! Ha!
I started by ink smooshing the background with regular and Oxide Kitsch Flamingo Ink on Distress White Heavystock. I then ink blended some cardstock with Kitsch Flamingo and embossed it with Kitsch Flamingo Embossing Glaze. I cut out 2 hearts from Stitched Heart Stackables. I then stamped and Copic colored the flamingos from Flamingo Together.
I stamped the word “flamingo” with the Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink, since it has pigment properties, it stamps beautifully. I added some Prisma glitter to the word and hearts with a Quickie Glue pen. I then assembled the card. I loosely followed the sketch. The 4 hearts translated to two hearts and two flamingos on my card. Hope it inspires you to play!
