Hey everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Thinking of You challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Christmas! Remember you can enter up to 5 times! 🙂
We are showcasing My Favorite Things Products but you don’t have to use them to enter the challenge. As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.
I caved. I *needed* these adorable santas elves, AND if you don’t know already I am addicted to snowflakes and snowman. I hate winter and the cold…. but they are cute to look at. So, of course needed the pierced snowflakes too. These snowflakes are so beautiful cut out. I just love all the detail they have.
This is the first time I have been successful with no-line coloring. I definitely did a happy dance!
I stamped the elf in Antique Linen Distress Ink on Distress Watercolor Cardstock and watercolored him with Distress Inks (specific colors are listed below in the supply list). I also watercolored the snowflake die with Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries Distress Ink.
For the sentiment I used Simon Says Stamp Merry & Bright Dies. I inked up a piece of cardstock with a Versamark Inkpad and then dipped it in gold embossing powder and melted it. Then I ran this piece of gold embossed cardstock through the die cut machine with the Merry & Bright sentiment- Voila! you get a beautifully gold embossed sentiment.
I die cut a Lawn Fawn scalloped rectangle for the background and then assembled all the pieces. As a final touch I added some Tim Holtz Distress Glitter Dust and Ultrafine crystal glitter to the elf.
If you haven’t seen the new Distress Glitter Dust in person yet, trust me, it is the “sparkliest” glitter I have ever seen!
I had so much fun creating this one, I decided to make another! 🙂
Ok- so now it’s time for YOU to enter the challenge. Remember, Christmas! is the theme so have fun and get into the holiday spirit! Just by playing along and linking up your project to the SSS Wednesday Challenge post you can qualify to enter a $50 shopping voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store.
Also if you are on instagram tag your photo with #ssswchallenge 🙂
There will be ONE lucky winner that will be chosen at random, it could be you!
I really hope to see some of my blog readers join in on all the fun and play along with the challenge. I can’t wait to stop by some of your blogs and take a peek at what you have made. Have a wicked fun time creating!

Jenn, You did an amazing job with the no line coloring!!! I have only given it a try once and I think it came out ok. I could still use a lot more practice, though. Your successful perseverance has inspied me to keep working at it. Thank you for giving me the extra push I needed. ? Your cards turned out awesomely!
Thank you so much Lisa. It is so true that the more you practice with something the better you will get at it. I also have found that certain images are definitely easier and more successful at no-line coloring 🙂 Hope you will share with me what you create! thank you for your comment!!
