Hey everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Anything Goes challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week the challenge is Stencil It!
We are featuring Stencil Girl Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used! As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store! YAY!
Cheering You On, Stencil Girl
I had so much fun inking the background for this card. I used the Circle Tile Stencil from Stencil Girl and an ink blending tool. I used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumpkin. Once I got the background all inked I then splattered a little water on it. Since Distress Inks react with water you will see the fun splotches.
I then tore the background into 2 sections. when you tear towards yourself you will get this really nice jagged edge.
I thought off setting these pieces on black cardstock really made the colors POP! I added a sprinkle of sequins and a fun encouraging sentiment.
With changing jobs and a very hectic schedule I am not going to be able to periscope this week <insert sad face> but I hope to be back next soon with some scoping!
Ok- so now it’s time for YOU to enter the challenge. Remember, Stencil It! is the theme so have fun! Just by playing along and linking up your project to the SSS Wednesday Challenge post you can qualify to enter a $50 shopping voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store.
Also if you are on instagram tag your photo with #ssswchallenge 🙂 There will be ONE lucky winner that will be chosen at random, it could be you!
I really hope to see some of my blog readers join in on all the fun and play along with the challenge. I can’t wait to stop by some of your blogs and take a peek at what you have made. Have a wicked fun time creating!

Hi Jenn ~ LOVE this stencil!! I have a couple with circles, but nothing that includes a grid-like pattern as well. I’ve also never heard of this particular brand and definitely want to check it out! I love stencils and I’m a self-described Distress Ink Junkie so this is perfect. It’s been awhile since I’ve done any tearing on my cards but this is an awesome reminder that something so simple can make such an impact. The black background is perfect!! Thanks so much for sharing!
PS: SOOOO glad I made it to one of your Loft Art Retreats (finally), especially since you’re moving. Good luck with the move and I look forward to what comes next.
Fun design, Jenn! Love the bright burst of hot pink & orange 🙂
