I wanted to pop in today and share with you a couple cards I made with the new Simon Says Stamp School Bus Messages stamp set.
These are a couple of fun back to school cards. I don’t want to think of the end of summer just yet, but I just KNOW my nephews are going to love these cards when I send them to them.
For the background of these cards, I ink blended with the Clouds for Days stencil from SSS and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
For this first card, I paired the new School Bus Messages stamp set along with the Funny Food stamp set. I thought the pizza and fries were fun to have on the bus, on their way to school.
I used the Fiskars Finger Tip Control Knife to be able to fussy cut out all of the images. I like the dimension it gives the card instead of masking.
I love this x-acto. I find I can get more control and precise cuts.
Next up, we have Mister Harley and Gus Gus heading to school. These are my two kitties. Gus Gus will be a year on August 4th, so in cat years he’s ready to attend school 😉
Thought I would share a couple pics of them, so you can see the comparison. Mister Harley makes it onto my cards a lot as you can see here, but Gus Gus is a bit harder to color, and we have only had him since October, so he hasn’t been on as many cards yet 🙂
If you are interested you can follow them on instagram here.
You can see the rest of the new Simon Says Stamp Friendly Frolic Release here, there are some fun nautical dies that are already on my wishlist!

Always love when Mr. Harley (and now Gus Gus) make it on a card! 🙂
Love them both….. The cats riding is my fave though. I’m sure yours too! LOL
These are sooooo CUTE!!!!
Hey Jenn ! I’m so happy to see a card with your cats on it ! Because, they’re both so beautiful ! That’s fun on the picture, we can totally tell Gus is still a kitten, he has this mischievous (I hope that the right word) ! And we see wisdom into Harley’s eyes ! Anyhow they’re just so super cute in their bus !! 😁💖 Love from France, Marjorie

These are adorable. My best crafty friend is a school bus driver so I have to get her this stamp.
Adorable. LOVE the cats on the bus…
How cute are these cards!!!! I love the idea of the pizza and fries going off to school. What I am sure every kid wants to eat too! But your fur babies are just too cute. Love the photos. Mr. Harley looks like he has one green eye and one yellow?? They are both good looking kitties. I have a rescue ginger and white cat called Sam and I love him very much. Great card ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Sweet cards. Love that you made the kittens look like your fur babies. So cute.
Your boys are beautiful! Very cute cards!
I’m loving that cloud stencil. It sure makes your clouds look real!! Adorable card as always :).
Adorable! I love your kitties on the school bus. I have a black cat, too, and he never makes an appearance on my cards because he just ends up looking like a silhouette of a cat!
