Autumn Whispers, Honey Bee Stamps

Hi everyone! Honey Bee Stamps has a fabulous new release! The new Acorn & Ember release is available now and filled with fun stamps, dies, stencils, and more! I am doing my best to embrace fall that is approacing, and honestly I love the color palette of fall and all the fun themed supplies to create with. For this card, I used the new Design Deck: Fall dies along with the new Display Box: Fall Add-On – both of these dies have other supplies that coordinate with them, so be sure to check out more inspiration on the Honey Bee Stamps website.

I started by die-cutting most of the elements from the Display Box: Fall Add-On die set out of Distress Watercolor Cardstock, then watercolored them with Distress Watercolor Pencils. Watercoloring with Distress Watercolor Pencils is one of my absolute favorite things to do, there’s something so relaxing about it! Once all my die cuts were watercolored, I assembled them with a glue tube. For the background, I reached for the new Acorn & Ember patterned paper. Then, using the Display Box: Fall Add-On set again, I die-cut the backgrounds from woodgrain cardstock and the frames from a dark brown cardstock. To add some dimension, I adhered everything with a mix of foam squares and a glue tube.

The sentiment was gold embossed, from the new Keepsake Sentiments: Fall set. I love that Honey Bee Stamps makes coordinating dies for these sentiments, and now the packaging even tells you which die pairs with which stamp, such a small thing, but so helpful!

For the finishing touches, I embellished a little more: Distress Rock Candy Clear Glitter along the edges and highlights of almost every element. I love the natural shimmer it adds; it really makes everything catch the light. A Micron pen gave the ladybug her signature black spots, and a touch of Glossy Accents on her shell and along the edges of the glass bottles added just the right glossy finish.
