A Bit of Kindness, Hero Arts

08/3/2016

Time for a NEW Simon Says Stamp Wednesday ChallengeHey everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Anything Goes challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week the challenge is Fabulous Florals!

We are featuring Hero Arts Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used! As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store! YAY!\

Kid'sChallenge-01

Before I tell you about my card this week- did you see we are hosting a Kid’s Challenge?! Be sure to check it out!

I wanted to continue to make some cards to share handmade kindness like I was sharing here so I decided to use Hero Arts Acts of Kindness Clear Stamp Set. The Flowers are also a Hero Arts Set called Delicate Blossoms. I figured you could recreate a similiar design with any flower stamps you have in your stash!

Acts of Kindness, Hero Arts

I made 4 of these cards and plan to send them out to brighten peoples day! I have been getting a lot of happy mail lately congratulating me in my new job and moving- so I want to return the favor 🙂

I stamped the images with Versamark and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then watercolored with Distress Inks.

Colors Used:

  • Crushed Olive
  • Mustard Seed
  • Spiced Marmalade
  • Ripe Persimmon
  • Stormy Sky

The sentiment is stamped with Simon Says Stamp Dye Ink, Steel Blue. It was a perfect match to go with the Stormy Sky Distress Ink!

    Hello Jenn

I love poppies – and your choice of color makes these simply GROW on the page! So lovely, someone will be blessed to get your pretty card.

Very pretty, Jenn! I do love that Kindness set – it’s from back when Jennifer McGuire did that month long Kindness drive, isn’t it? Florals? Sure, I’ll enter!
