Hey everyone! Today I’m sharing a card made with Simon Says Stamp’s September Card Kit, Simply Shabby. This kit is packed with goodness, a gorgeous stamp set, dies, stencils, an embossing folder, and so much more. It’s truly a perfect kit for all kinds of creators, whether you love clean and simple designs or want to layer on all the details.
I’ve been sharing projects with Simon Says Stamp Card Kits since 2013. If you’re curious, my very first share is here, and you can browse all of my posts from over the years here.
Speaking of all those years, this is also where I share a little bittersweet news. I’ve decided to step down from the team of creators sharing inspiration with this kit. It’s been such a joy, and I’m grateful for every bit of it, but I’m making room in my schedule for some new projects I’m excited about. Thank you for following along with me on this journey, it’s meant so much!
It’s best to subscribe so you get the first chance to have a kit as they often sell out. Plus, you will get all the perks outlined above!
Simply Shabby, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

How This Card Came Together
I started by ink blending a panel of Distress White Heavystock with Dried Marigold Distress Ink, then added a few water droplets for soft white splatters. Once that was dry, I stamped the Simply Shabby background stamp over it using Pumice Stone Distress Oxide Ink.
On a second panel of Distress White Heavystock, I used the Morning Glory’s stencil set to ink blend the flower tops with Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, and Wild Honey Distress Ink, then die cut them out with the coordinating dies. I ran both the flower tops and the orange shabby background panel through the Morning Glory’s Embossing Folder, it adds such nice texture to the card. I trimmed the orange panel to 4″ x 5.25″ and matted it onto Gold Metallic Cardstock.
For the sentiment, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 4″ x 1.25″ and gold embossed it, then added it to the card front, tucking one of the flowers so it overlaps the sentiment banner for a bit of added dimension. To finish, I added Distress Rock Candy Clear to the highlights on the flower petals.
This card was so much fun to make!
