Hey crafty friends! 👋 I’m popping in to share a card I made using some of my favorite Tim Holtz stamps and stencils from Stampers Anonymous.
Fun fact: Stampers Anonymous doesn’t retire their Tim Holtz designs—so there’s a huge library of awesome stamps and stencils you might not have seen in a while (or totally forgot you had 😉).
Hope this project sparks some inspiration to dig into your stash and get creative! ✨

Trick or Treat, Tim Holtz

Hello, friends! I have another Halloween card to share, and this one is filled with starry skies, a golden moon, and a little band of trick-or-treaters out for a night of fun. 🌙✨
The Background
I created the background using Tim Holtz’s Brush Arch stencil with Distress Micro Glaze, Distress Spray Stains, and Distress Inks. The Micro Glaze resists the color wherever it’s applied, so the arches show through beautifully as the inks blend together in warm golds, oranges, teals, and purples.
I also layered some of the text from the Mixed Media Stamp & Stencil Halloween set for a subtle, vintage feel peeking through the color. Then I stamped some stars across the sky to give it that magical nighttime glow. I used Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide and stamped the moon onto the background.
The Trick-or-Treaters
Next, I stamped the trick-or-treaters from the same set with Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink. To help them pop off the background, I added a generous layer of Glossy Accents over the top. It deepens the color and gives them a shiny, dimensional look that really stands out against the background.
The Sentiment
To finish, I white embossed “Trick or Treat” from the Halloween Tidbits stamp set onto black cardstock and added it to the bottom corner. I also added glossy accents and Distress Rock Candy Clear over the moon.
Thanks for Stopping By!
I hope this card inspires you to play with your stencils and inks this Halloween! What was your favorite costume to wear trick-or-treating as a kid? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear your stories!
