Watercolored Thank You, Simon Says Stamp
All of the supplies I used are listed and linked below.
For this card I used a few dies from Simon Says Stamp – Tissue Petal Stems and Paper Cut Word Mix. I die-cut them out of Distress Watercolor Cardstock and watercolored them with Distress Watercolor Pencils. I colored the flower tops with Villainous Potion and Prize Ribbon, the stems with Pine Needles, and the sentiment with Villainous Potion, Seedless Preserves, and Prize Ribbon.
I then washed the background with Ground Espresso and Walnut Stain, and splattered everything with Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bleedproof White for some texture.
The back panel behind the sentiment, along with a mat for the background panel, was cut from Lawn Fawn Chocolate Bar cardstock. I assembled it all together, adding Honey Bee Stamps gem stickers and Distress Rock Candy Clear to the flower petal tips, then finished the sentiment with a generous layer of Glossy Accents for dimension and shine.
I love how the moody purples and blues turned out against that warm, inky background, such a pretty combo for a thank-you card! I hope this gives you some inspiration for your own watercoloring. Thanks so much for stopping by today! All of the supplies I used are listed and linked below.
