6 Cheerful Greetings, Guest Designer with Flora & Fauna

Hi everyone! I am back with 6 more cheerful greetings using a ton of  Flora & Fauna goodies!

You can see the last batch I shared here. Once again when I started creating with some of the new Flora & Fauna stamps I got caught up and carried away… before I knew it I had 6 fun cards 🙂

dream big

For this card, I used a pencil and ruler and measured out a 3.25″ square. I lightly drew it with a pencil. I didn’t bother masking the edges, I just took my chances and gently watercolored in the diagonal stripes using Distress Inks. I heat set each diagonal stripe, to help the colors not bleed together. I stamped the VW bug and wings from the Love Bug Dress Up Set.

I fussy cut them out,m and used a finger x-acto knife to cut the window out. I layered them onto the card, stamped the sentiment and added some Prisma Glitter with a Quickie Glue Pen.

life is a journey

For this card, I measured and marked out the same 3.25″ square as above, this time dividing it into 4 even squares. Then I started by laying down water in the first square, and watercoloring with Distress Inks first with Picked Raspberry, then with Spiced Marmalade. Letting the 2 colors blend together. I did the same process in the other 3 squares:

• Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed Distress Ink
• Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron Distress Ink
• Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink

Then I stamped the VW Bug and VW Bus from the Love Bug Dress Up Set with Versafine Onyx Black ink. The sentiment came from Flora & Fauna’s Hat-tastic Stamp set. I also added a bit of glossy accents to all of the headlights.

tropical dreams

I really had so much fun creating this card! For the background, I did a bit of ink smooshing with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide, Mustard Seed Distress Ink, and Twisted Citron Distress Ink. Using some of the foliage and florals from the Tropical Vibes set, I stamped the greens in Peeled Paint Distress Oxide and the flowers in Picked Raspberry Distress Oxides. Since Distress Oxide Inks are a pigment hybrid, they stamp really nicely and pop against the inky background.

I stamped one of the birds on some cardstock, and colored him in with Copic markers. I fussy cut him out and added a touch of Prisma glitter with a Quickie Glue Pen to his belly. On a strip of vellum I stamped the swing from the Flora & Fauna’s Hat-tastic Stamp set and clear embossed it. I did the same with the sentiment. Using some foam tape I popped the bird up off of the swing.

Happy Birthday

This was a quick and simple birthday greeting. I just love how cute it is that you can put different headbands on top of the VW bug and bus. These are included in the Love Bug Dress Up Set.

I also subtly stamped some of the stars in the background. Using a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube, I added some chunky glitter to the ground.

just keep swimming

This was a quick and simple card to make, but still super cute. I started by stamping the fun background repeatedly with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink.

I stamped the floral whale from the Floral Mermaid Stamp Set on another piece of cardstock, colored it in with copics, fussy cut him out, and then popped him up off the card with 3M foam tape. I stamped the sentiment and added a touch of Prisma Glitter with a Quickie Glue Pen to some of the waves.

i love the sea

I LOVED how the “Oceans of Love” card I created for Flora & Fauna in February came out, so I wanted to create something similar.

I created the watercolored ocean background using Distress Inks. I then stamped the seaweed, ocean waves and fish from theFloral Mermaid Stamp Set with Distress Oxide Inks. I stamped the mermaid on a separate piece of cardstock, coloring her in with Copics and fussy cutting them out. I popped her up on the card with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out creating word-fetti. Then using a Lawn Fawn glue tube I added some Chunky Glitter to the sea floor.
