Hello everyone! I am excited to participate in another year of the Get Cracking on Christmas series and wicked excited to work on my stash of holiday cards throughout the year! I will continue to create holiday cards with NO STRESS, using stamps and supplies I haven’t had a chance to play with yet and experimenting with different techniques.
If you missed my Crafty Chat in January, I went over Get Cracking on Christmas. Why I do it, my approach to it, and how you can join. Catch the replay here!

Get Cracking: Extra Extra Sparkle

If you know me, you know I like to “Glitter all of the things” – and a little extra sparkle never hurt anyone 😉 For these cards, I spread the new Twinkle Distress Texture Paste through a snowflake stencil from Waffle Flower. Once dry, I ink-blended with Distress Oxide inks.
Warm color combo:
- Dried Marigold
- Abandoned Coral
- Picked Raspberry
Cool color combo:
- Cracked Pistachio
- Lucky Clover
- Peacock Feathers
For the sentiment, I white embossed Lawn Fawn Henry’s Build-a-Sentiment onto black cardstock, and die-cut Quinn’s ABC’s out of Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock. I then used Distress Collage Medium and Sprinkled Distress Snowflakes onto the bottom of the letters.
For a finishing touch, I added some gold sparkle stars.

I can’t wait to share my process for this card on my YouTube channel on Tuesday August 26th at 12p ET. I hope you will join me, and remember, you can work on your holiday cards while you watch!
