Note: I am experiencing some technical difficulties with my site. I assure you I am working behind the scenes to fix this and hope to have it resolved soon. Thank you for your patience
Hello Everyone! I am back with the 3rd post in the COOLest Card Series for 2016! I am hosting this card series every Thursday in January. It’s the COOLest Cards Series and it will be featuring snowman and snowflakes! Yep, you read that correctly. This summer loving, winter hating girl LOVES snowman and snowflakes- just as long as I don’t need to feel the cold! Ha! Two years ago I hosted this series, and last year I just didn’t get around to doing it. I missed it. It was so much fun and a great way for me to use all the snow related supplies I have collected!
See week 1: Stencils, Paper Smooches
See week 2: Watercolor, My Favorite Things
This year Audrey another snow loving creative friend is sharing along with me. That means more inspiration for you! I am also inviting you to participate with us and of course that gives you a chance to win some AWESOME prizes!!!
This week the theme is Watercolor. Audrey and I are featuring one of our favorite companies, Lawn Fawn but you can use any company as long as the project is SNOW themed AND you use a Valentine color scheme in some way.
You might have seen this sneak peek on instagram last night. I have been playing some MAJOR catch up after getting back from CHA so this card was one I had designed in my head, but didn’t put it to paper until last night. I do promise I am going to do a post about my time at CHA just need to get through the technical difficulties first.
Who says you can’t have pink snow, making a adorably cute PINK snowman!?!! 🙂 I had this idea in my head for a few weeks now and I love how it turned out. Audrey and I were texting a bit while I created it and I knew it was missing a little something- she suggested the wicked cute bow made out of the Sweetheart Lawn Fawn Trimmings. The background is Lawn Fawn’s Snowy Backdrop, but I just love it in this soft pink! And of course I had to use my all time favorite Lawn Fawn Stamp Set, Making Frosty Friends. I used Spun Sugar Distress Ink to stamp it, but a watered down version of Worn Lipstick to add color to him.
I had way too much fun with Liquid Applique! I honestly think that supply has been in my stash since I started stamping over 15 years ago… and I still love how it looks on a card. (Of course I have had to buy new tubes of it because I have used it so much!)
I used the “make a wish” sentiment from Party Animals. I figure this little snowman is making a wish on the starry sky 🙂 I stamped the sentiment with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and then carefully traced it with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.

Cool – your pink snowman with that fluffy snow! If I want to play along – do I have to use Lawn Fawn stamps? – I don’t have any 🙁
Hi, I’m commenting again now that I finished my card! Whew, this one took me a while! I used your idea of pink snow… hope that’s ok. And, of course I popped up my seal just like you showed us on Big Pictures! I’m a good student, right? LOL Seriously, if you nave a minute, check my blog for a close up of the card.
