passing on a 411 from linda @ amuse read about the increase in postal rates & her thoughts here
my quick thoughts…..
i love the square shape of a muse cards… and they just aren’t the same on a regular sized card….
i love getting a fun square envie in the mail…
i love sending square envies in the mail….
when sending crazy amts of cards at once…. i.e. christmas, i usually plop my amuse cards in a larger envie like linda mentions…
will i still send square envies … prolly….
i know i am in the minority as an a muse instructor, and providing envies in my classes… considering discontinuing this…. one reason is i know a majority of my students keep their cards for reference, inspiration and sample ideas for later…. so they never send them out…..
i also know a large amt plop them in bigger envies, so they have hoards of square envies just hanging around….. edie, one of my "students" shipped me a ton of square envies she has collected, knowing she would nver use them.. but she didnt want to toss them….
would love to hear from those who take classes with me their thoughts on this 😉 and will post more on ckc 2morrow….. *just* got home = late = tired 😉
note card above: its getting to be that season 😉 i colored the curtains and door with a hint of purple, and used my quickie glue pen and ultra fine glitter on all the windows AND the word "bride" love how you can get so precise with it, to trace lil letters!
Love the cards and the One Little Word layout!
As an AM instructor, I supply envies for class, but I give them standard A2 size ones. They seem to appreciate it and hopefully they can use them for other cards if they don’t mail out the ones they made in class. =) It’s also easy to put the card materials (one per envelope) for the students !
I love getting the square envelopes when taking a class from you.I would mail or deliver them. Thanks!HJ
Hi Jenn! Fun seeing you at CKC!! I do tend to make more square cards lately -and I tend to plop them into the “regular” sized envies, as that is what I have here at home. However, I don’t mind paying the extra for additional postage for a square envie if I am sending it to someone that I know will “appreciate” the packaging as well as the card.
Just thought I would stop by and say hello!!!
Hey, Jenn, welcome back home. Regarding the square envelopes,I had to learn the hard way so that my cards aren’t returned because of insufficient funds. When I do decide to send out some of my A Muse cards, I put them in the square envies then place them inside a USPS “regulation” envelope that doesn’t require extra postage. Furthermore, my A Muse card recipients could care less about the size of the envelope. They appreciate the card and don’t even consider the envelope. Really.
