my word for the year after ali’s challenge is
balance
my challenge trying to achieve this is i’m a HUGE procrastinator…. matt said to me the other day ” i never thought i would meet someone who procrastinated more then me…..” that was his gentle way of saying i’m worse then him, i don’t know about that…. but i do procrastinate…. for the most part i work best under pressure *especcially* when it comes to creating… this started back in college, and all those design projects i had to dream up…. i also tend to create in my mind first.. thinking about a project days even weeks ahead of time before actually sitting and creating…
so today i was home from work, making signage for the store, sending out the new newsletter and inputting email addresses we collected from crop on the cape…. still a lot more to do on my list, but now need to get ready for a fun dinner with the {creative chicks} @ sams to celebrate a belated 30th birthday for melisseR!!

OMG… I was just thinking about posting something on my word for the year – also balance! I am not doing so well on this objective… getting only 2 hours sleep the day before. Yikes!
Breathe. Balance. Breathe.
Balance? That would be great, but first I have to be able to FOCUS to do that. Focusing is difficult right now cuz I can’t see the forest for the trees for a number of reasons. So FOCUS. That’s what I must do. Focus is my word/my action/my mantra. Focus. I will focus. I can focus. H-E-L-P!! Everything’s a blur. (Hey, Jenn, who are those artsy looking chicks in your banner?) See what I mean?
I am loving your new blog banner!!! You are so computer crafty!
I am the QUEEN of procrastination, but somehow it always manages to get done. Beats me how it happens sometimes! 🙂
Balance…geez. What an admiral goal. I need tips from you when you figure out how to do that!
Love your new banner!
I hear ya! I don’t mean to procrastinate, but I find I create better last minute!
ya know…i procrastinate too, but i do work out the creative process in my head first. the reason i do this {maybe you too} is that i’m always running from one place to another. i don’t have my creative space with me all the time, so i “cook” everything up in my head first. of course i change things once i sit down with that paper that is now one shade off from the ribbon that i thought would great and now i have to run off to colorful creations to buy all new stuff and the project is due…NOW!!! oh well…that’s life!
i think maybe we should get an actual balance beam at the store, or walk around with stacks of books on our heads to work on the whole balance thing… whaddaya think?
p.s. yummy button-letters!
you go girl! Balance is not always easy to find!! Especially when someone is as busy as YOU are!! 🙂 MISS YOU!
Hi Jenn, balance…now there is a challenge I find in almost every aspect of life. That word is – for better or worse – my personal motto or goal or something??? Anyhoo – just wanted to pop in say hi and “thanks!” for helping me with the little birdie and his cage image that happened to be a sticker. I was able to find that cutie patootie sticker at a store and now I am hording it {of course} for something wonderful! Love all your wonderful inspiration. Makes me so miss the store I used to work at!
