Lawnscaping Challenge #75: Dots & Hearts

The next challenge for Lawnscaping Challenges is “Dots & Hearts”. How fun is that? I also knew RIGHT AWAY what I was going to use for my card!

Thank you to Simon Says Stamp for offering up a fabulous prize to the winner. Also be sure to pop on over to the Lawnscaping Challenges blog to not only enter the challenge, but to see all the other fabulous ideas as well!

I decided to join in on the Online Card Class: Stenciled – to inspire me to use my stencils and supplies I have in my stash. I am so happy that I did!

Like I mentioned when I saw the theme of this challenge I was so excited because I knew right away I was going to combine the Simon Says Stamp falling snow stencil and the falling hearts stencil some way on a card. I am really pleased with how it came out. I used the falling hearts stencil and my blending tool to ink the hearts with Distress Ink in Barn Door. Then I used the falling snow stencil and put translucent embossing paste through it and dipped it in ultrafine crystal glitter- isn’t it so pretty!?
After that I wasn’t sure what I was going to do next… until I got my new stamps from Lawn Fawn then I decided to use the Hello Sunshine set. I stamped the sentiment and traced some of the words with the clear wink of stella glitter pen. I also swirled the Lawn Fawn trimmings around, getting it to stay where I wanted with glossy accents. I finished this card off by adding a few coats thickly of glossy accents on the heart balloon- SO CUTE!
