Ok, back to this weeks challenge- It is Happy Birthday! Simon Says Stamp is celebrating their 9th birthday!!
We are featuring Simon Says Stamp Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used! Party Like You Mean It, Simon Says Stamp
Ok, I guess I’m on a little run of rainbow creations – nothing wrong with that right? I started this card off with white embossing Simon Says Stamps Grid Background Cling Stamp. Then I proceeded to watercolor each square in rainbow colors. I started with a layer of regular Distress Ink then on top of that painted a little Distress Oxide.
I used more water when I wanted the color to really move around. Once the background was finished I stamped and embossed “Party” and “Like you mean it” from the Cathy Zielske Birthday Palooza clear stamp set.
I filled in some of the squares with the Lawn Fawn glue tube and added Lawn Fawn Chunky Glitter. I added a few iridescent sequins and then a few black enamel dots.
I seriously LOVE the sparkle that the Chunky Glitter gives- it’s a party all on its own!

I love this card – I did not know about this background stamp before seeing your card – you have made it look incredible with the watercolor and bling – what fun to celebrate Simon’s 9 years in business! How awesome that they are offering 9 prizes too.
I am a big fan of designs and stamps that are adaptable to many designs – this is a lovely watercolor card and the overall effect is just stunning – the touches of bling are wonderful!
