Hi, everyone! I am here today with the latest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. If you love Lawn Fawn you will want to hang out with us over there- we have inspiration and chances to win gift certificates to Lawn Fawn! For this challenge, we are encouraging you to try a new technique, and create a card to join our challenge!
Let’s Party, Lawn Fawnatics
So if you follow my site you might be saying to yourself “wait a minute Jenn watercolors all the time, that’s not a new technique!” but before you get frustrated with me-
What I did this time is layer colored pencil over the no-line watercoloring. It was something Kathy Raccoosin shared with me when she was here on the cape for the Coloring Challenge Road Trip last fall. I was all proud of a mermaid I had no-line watercolored which is what I was demoing/teaching at the event. I then asked Kathy if she would draw in a face for me with her magic pen. Then before I knew it she drew in a face AND added detail with the Chameleon Double-Ended Colored Pencils. I was BLOWN AWAY!
I wish I had taken a before picture of the mermaid, but I didn’t think of it at the time. Anyways, I still have a lot to learn, but I had a lot of fun layering some colored pencil on top of the no-line watercoloring with Distress Inks. Creating this fun Easter Party with Lawn Fawn’s new Easter Party set was super fun! I combined it with Party Animals and Happy Easter.
More Watercoloring with Distress Inks
I am sharing more watercoloring with Distress Inks in this tutorial video which is also part of the Save the Crafty YouTubers Video Hop
I also have this tutorial I did a bit ago with No-Line Watercoloring with Distress Inks and Lawn Fawn
