Hey everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Tag It challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Die Crazy! Remember you can enter up to 5 times! 🙂
This month is officially known as ‘DieCember™‘ at Simon Says Stamp and we have just released a whole new set of Exclusive DieCember™ Craft Dies! You can see a few cards I created with some of the new release here. To celebrate the release we are going crazy with dies and we are asking you to use them on your projects this week!
We are showcasing our very own Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.
I had a ton of fun creating this little holiday scene. It took a bit of precise planning out, and I even needed to use a pencil to mark out guides at time- but it didn’t end up like a train wreck- which was a bit of a shock to me LOL! I am not very good with measuring or planning out precise things like this- so thats why it was a happy surprise!
I started off with a scalloped rectangle from Lawn Fawn cut from Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I then die cut Holiday Frames from Neenah Cardstock. I wanted it to stand out against the texture of the watercolor cardstock. I marked out the window of the Merry Christmas frame on the scalloped rectangle, this is where the pencil was involved 😉 I masked out the pencil marks and did some ink blending with Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
I then cut out the Village Dies from Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I used Distress Inks to watercolor the pieces. I used Cracked Pistachio, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry. I cut a small strip of cardstock and made it glittery by covering it with a Quickie Glue Pen and covered it with Distress Glitter Dust (aka the sparkliest glitter I have ever seen). I adhered that flat to the scalloped rectangle and then used foam tape to adhere the Holiday Frame. I used a tape runner to adhere all the houses and trees, tucking them here and there.
Once the pieces were all in place I then added a little bit of liquid applique to the ground and as snow in the sky. I just love how this part came out! I then backed it onto a kraft notecard.
Ok- so now it’s time for YOU to enter the challenge. Remember, Die Crazy! is the theme so have fun and die cut away! Just by playing along and linking up your project to the SSS Wednesday Challenge post you can qualify to enter a $50 shopping voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store.
Also if you are on instagram tag your photo with #ssswchallenge 🙂
There will be ONE lucky winner that will be chosen at random, it could be you!
I really hope to see some of my blog readers join in on all the fun and play along with the challenge. I can’t wait to stop by some of your blogs and take a peek at what you have made. Have a wicked fun time creating!
