Did you know that yesterday was Heidi’s birthday? Heidi is the owner of Simon Says Stamp. In true Jenn fashion I am late in posting her Happy Birthday wishes. I decided to showcase some more of the new STAMPtember® products that have just been released. CLICK HERE to see them all. It is a HUGE release with loads of fabulous stamps, dies, stencils and much more!
I had the pleasure of meeting Heidi at the Simon Says Create event in May and then got to hang out with her again when I taught for Lawn Fawn in Utah back in July. Heidi is just the sweetest person, so full of energy and spunk! She was always making me laugh 🙂 and I love how real life she is!
Heidi- I hope you had a wicked fabulous day as you deserve it!! Happy wishes for you for the coming year!
For today’s card I used the new Pile of Gifts diecut. I cut it out of black bazzill cardstock. I underlayed some Distress watercolor paper where I did the same technique as yesterday. I blended Barn Door and Broken China Distress Ink on the cardstock, and then this time spritzed it with Heirloom Gold Pearl Mist. Then heat set it. I did the same for the sentiment flag. I stamped “Happy Birthday” with black Versafine Ink. This sentiment was from the Furry Cat & Box stamp set.
I just love how striking the black looks against the pearlescent background. I have popped this special card in the mail to Heidi, and I hope it makes her smile!
Some VERY exciting news JUST announced!!! ( Watch Tim Holtz’s video about this new set here)

I love your card! It’s not colors I’d normally think of for a birthday card but it totally works. It’s beautiful! Thank you for sharing it.
Your birthday card for Heidi is sensational, Jenn! I love how vibrant it is!! Hugs, Darnell
