YAY Summer, Lawn Fawn

Hello everyone! I’m so excited to be sharing a fun Lawn Fawn card with you today! You may have seen it on the Lawn Fawn blog already, I was away mermaiding and hadn’t had a chance to post it here yet, so I wanted to be sure you didn’t miss it!

YAY Summer, Lawn Fawn

If you know me, you know I try to hold onto summer for as long as I can. I live on Cape Cod, and in New England our summers are too short. This summer especially, we had a slow start. I was wearing a sweatshirt and hanging out in doors on 4th of July weekend- that is just crazy! Chris and I usually get in a lot of beach/mermaid time that weekend.

Want to know a secret about this card? Everything for it was already colored and cut for use on previous cards I have made. I keep leftover pieces in a little dish on my desk, so I pulled them together to create this card.

I only needed to ink smoosh the background which I created on Distress White Heavystock with Distress Inks and Distress Oxides. I used Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, and Mermaid Lagoon to create it with a piece of acetate.

I also stamped out the word “summer” with Quinn’s ABCs. I stamped each letter with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide, die-cut them out, and then filled them with Prisma glitter and a Quickie glue pen.

“Yay” and the tiny hearts were stamped in Bubblegum Lawn Fawn ink and cut with the Yay, Kites set.
