Hey everyone! I am here today to share with you a fun card I made with some of the new exclusive products from the Simon Says Stamps Love You Release!
Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Release: Love You
For this sparkly friendship card, I used the new Boho Circle stencil from Simon Says Stamp. Anytime I use a stencil now, I always use the Wendy Vecchi Stay-tion. This little tool has made stenciling SO easy and fun.
I started by ink blending a rainbow of colors with blender brushes and Distress Ink (Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet). I don’t know about you, but I have been having trouble with all brands of glitter pastes and gels. This is no fault of the companies making them, I am just not using them fast enough. So I have found a way to use a supply that I do use, and can be used for other things to make my own glitter paste!
After ink blending, I kept the stencil in place, I then spread Ranger Texture Paste Transparent Matte through the stencil with a palette knife.
While the paste was still wet, I sprinkled Prisma glitter over it. It may appear cloudy at first until the paste dries, but once it does you will have a vibrant, and sparkly background!
Once the background was dry I cut it with Lawn Fawn’s Outside In Stitched Rectangles, and then adhered it to a yellow cardstock panel, Sunflower from Lawn Fawn.
Next, I wanted a simple, yet bold sentiment. So I decided to mix a few CZ Designs sets, Miss You die with small sentiment from her hello stamp set.
I did a simple sentiment stack with “miss you” and Guava Lawn Fawn cardstock, by adhering 4 layers together. I then stamped “my sweet friend” with Hot Lips SSS ink and cut it out, word-fetti style.
Lastly, I added just a few sequins here and there for some added texture and sparkle. This card makes me wish for Spring so much, and we are just starting December here on Cape Cod 😉
