Friends Are Magic, Simon Says Stamp

The images in the Woodland Friends set are so sweet- I really wanted them to shine. So I stamped the image with Lawn Fawn Crunchy Leaf inkpad. This brown inkpad works with alcohol based markers and watercoloring. I like that the brown color gives a soft look to the coloring. I then colored in the image with Copic markers, I shared a swatch of the colors I used below. One thing I like to do when stamping the image directly onto the front layer like this, is to outline the whole image with Copic BG10 – this gives a soft outline, and really pulls the scene together.

I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black- there were so many sweet sentiments to choose from in the Woodland Friends stamp set.

I also added some white gel pen details to the critters. I added some glossy accents to the carved-out heart on the stump, and I added some Honey Bee Stamps Gem stickers for a touch of sparkle.

I die-cut the Details Ringlet Plate out of Lawn Fawn Mist Cardstock, and used that panel for the background layer. I trimmed down the front layer and gently rubbed all four edges with a paper distresser.

This one is definitely one of my new favorites- there’s just something about that little deer and bunny that gets me every time. Thanks so much for stopping by today! All of the supplies I used are listed and linked below.
