Hey crafty friends! 👋 I’m popping in to share a card I made using some of my favorite Tim Holtz stamps and stencils from Stampers Anonymous.
Fun fact: Stampers Anonymous doesn’t retire their Tim Holtz designs—so there’s a huge library of awesome stamps and stencils you might not have seen in a while (or totally forgot you had 😉).
Hope this project sparks some inspiration to dig into your stash and get creative! ✨

Celebrate You, Tim Holtz

Nothing lifts the spirits quite like a burst of rainbow color, and this card is proof! I’m sharing a bright, layered card made with Tim Holtz’s Remnants stamp set, where vintage typography meets a soaring hot air balloon.
I started by coloring Distress Watercolor Pencils directly onto the background stamp included in the set, then stamped it onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. The pencils melt into the paper beautifully, leaving that dreamy, distressed text effect peeking through the color. Once it dried, I stamped the hot air balloon right on top.
To create a second panel, I watercolored a rainbow background to mimic the colors of the first one and stamped the hot air balloon on it as well. Layering the two panels together gives the card a fun, dimensional look, and the balloon appears to drift right across both. I matted everything with black cardstock so those vibrant colors really pop.
For a little vintage charm, I stamped the 5-cent image, cut out the circle, and ran a paper distresser around the edges for extra texture. One of Tim’s label stickers made the perfect “Celebrate You” sentiment.
To finish, I added Distress Rock Candy Clear glitter to the hot air balloon for some sparkle and Glossy Accents to the 5-cent coin for a raised, shiny finish.
Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, a milestone, or just someone who deserves a little love, I hope this card inspires you to grab your pencils and let your colors soar.
