Step Right Up, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

Card One: Good Times
To start, I ink blended a background using Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade and Saltwater Taffy for that warm, sunny carnival glow. I then stamped some of the fireworks images using Regular Distress Ink Vintage Photo to add some depth and texture.
Next, I layered some of the tickets from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Ticket Book across the card for that perfect vintage fair feel.
For the banner, I ink blended cardstock using Distress Oxide Saltwater Taffy, Squeezed Lemonade, Salvaged Patina, and Wild Honey, then die-cut the triangles using the Festive Bunting Die set. I stamped fun little designs on each triangle using the Having Fun stamp set with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide, assembled the banner, and attached it to the card with foam squares for some dimension.
I stamped the “Good Times” sentiment and trimmed it into a sentiment strip. To finish everything off, I added Distress Rock Candy Clear to the edges of the banners and Distress Rock Candy Chunky along the bottom of the sentiment strip for a little extra sparkle. ✨

Card Two: Celebrating You
For this card, I used some of the coordinating products available as add-ons to the kit, and they are so worth it!
I started by ink blending cardstock with Distress Oxide Uncharted Mariner, Broken China, and Saltwater Taffy for a beautiful cool-toned background. I then die-cut all the pieces of the Prize Ribbon die and used the Prize Ribbon Sentiment stamp set to stamp a sentiment onto the center circle.
For the banner across the ribbon, I white embossed the “Birthday Wishes” sentiment, ink blended over it with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide for that gorgeous vintage effect, and trimmed it into a banner shape before layering it onto the ribbon.
For the background, I stamped sentiments from the Prize Ribbon Sentiment set all over the card in a scattered pattern, then inked the edges with Regular Distress Ink Vintage Photo to tie everything together.
I attached the finished prize ribbon to the card and added Distress Rock Candy Clear to the ribbon edges, followed by Distress Rock Candy Chunky on top for dimension and extra shimmer. 🎀
Both of these cards were such a joy to make!
