Hey friends! Simon Says Stamp has come out with some more coordinating dies to work with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous stamp sets, this time with a holiday theme! I used some of the fabulous coordinating dies to create these cards. This is also part of a fun and inspiring Blog Hop, so be sure to read to the end- and hop along at the other stops on the way!
These dies are exclusively available at Simon Says Stamp! 🙌
Not only do they save you from all that fussy cutting, but they also unlock a whole new world of creative possibilities, especially when it comes to layering and collage. Let’s dive in!

Holiday Postmarks, Tim Holtz

For these holiday cards, I went with a rainbow of non-traditional colors, because who says holiday cards have to be red and green? I love sending something bright and cheery during the gray winter months.
I started by applying Distress Watercolor Pencils directly onto the stamps and stamping the postmarks onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Once dry, I die-cut them with the coordinating die set.
For the background, I used the Stripes & Holiday Type stamp set, choosing the “holiday type” image and stamping it partially across the background with Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink. I cut the panels with Lawn Fawn’s Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and added a few gold splatters from the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors palette for extra shine.
Next, I adhered the postmarks; some flat and some popped up with foam squares, for dimension. I also added a sentiment (love that the die set includes those too!).
To bring everything together, I ink-blended the edges of each card base with Distress Ink Pads in a rainbow color scheme, then adhered the finished panels on top.
And of course… every holiday card I share has to have some sparkle! ✨ I added Glossy Accents around the edges of the postmarks, then sprinkled on Distress Rock Candy Chunky Glitter. It’s the perfect touch of magical sparkle to finish off these happy holiday cards!
