Give Thanks, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

I’ve had so much fun creating with this fabulous kit so far, two cards down and already feeling inspired for more!

For the first card, I used the leaf layering stencils, inks from the kit, and the coordinating stencil to build the focal point. For the second, I die-cut the leaf from Distress Watercolor Cardstock and brought it to life using Distress Watercolor Pencils.

Both backgrounds were ink blended with Salvaged Patina, Uncharted Mariner, and Ground Espresso Distress Ink, then splattered with water and a touch of Gansai Tambi Starry Colors paint for shimmer and movement.

For finishing touches:

• On the first card, I stamped the sentiment directly onto the leaf and added a subtle edging of Distress Glitter to the front panel.
• On the second card, I paired a die-cut sentiment with a white-embossed word on dark brown cardstock, then brushed a little Distress Glitter onto the leaf for sparkle.

Both designs are backed with the beautifully grungy patterned papers from the kit, tying everything together with that perfectly distressed, autumnal feel.

I can’t wait to keep creating with this kit, there are just so many possibilities, and I’m loving how each card takes on its own unique, inky personality!
