Hey friends! I have some halloween cards with a fun little spin to share with you today! I used some of the fabulous coordinating dies for Tim Holtz stamps from Stampers Anonymous.
Even better? These dies are exclusively available at Simon Says Stamp! 🙌
Not only do they save you from all that fussy cutting, but they also unlock a whole new world of creative possibilities, especially when it comes to layering and collage. Let’s dive in!

Spooky Spirits Rainbow, Tim Holtz

If you’ve been here a while, you know I love putting a non-traditional spin on just about every holiday, and Halloween is no exception! 🎃✨ I couldn’t resist creating this rainbow Halloween card, and it was such a blast to make.
For the background, I built a glowing moon with Distress Inks and the Tim Holtz Moon Masks, then flicked on a little sparkle with Gansai Tambi Starry Colors for stars. Using the Batty Layering Stencil, I spread on Distress Texture Paste Sparkle, it adds just the right amount of subtle shimmer.
The ghost was watercolored with Distress Watercolor Pencils, and I carried the rainbow theme onto the card base with some colorful ink blending. To give the ghost extra personality, I brushed Distress Rock Candy Clear into the creases and finished the eyes with a Black Glaze Pen.
For the sentiment, I heat-embossed in white onto Black Licorice cardstock. My embossing process is always the same: prep with the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool, stamp several times using my MISTI and Yeti White Pigment Ink, then sprinkle on Alabaster embossing powder from Brutus Monroe for that clean, crisp finish.
This card makes me so happy, it’s a little spooky, a little sparkly, and a whole lot of rainbow fun! 🌈👻 If you’re looking for more inspiration and hands-on guidance with your Distress products, be sure to check out my online classes, I’d love to have you join in the creative fun!
