How this will work:
Once you have purchased this online class, and your order has been processed you will want to join the private Facebook group and access the class resource page. Please note it may take time to be approved into the Facebook group as this is a manual process that is done by Jenn.
To find the class Facebook page and class resource page:
- goto https://shurkus.com/my-account
- log in to your account
- then under “my orders” find the order for the particular class, click that
- down towards the bottom, you will see “NEXT STEP”
- There is a link to the class Facebook group, and under that, you will find the link/password to the class resource page
- This is a different password than you used to log into your account.
When requesting to join the private Facebook group, please be sure to answer the 3 questions, this will help me verify that you are signed up.
On the class resource page, you will find the downloadable class supply list and class prep handout. This will include the details of what to have stamped, die-cut, and pre-cut ahead of time before you watch the class videos.
With the supplies you have gathered ahead of time you will be able to watch the videos and to create right along with Jenn as she teaches. You will be able to comment, ask questions, and interact with other students. You can also share your projects in the group. If you happen to miss the live broadcast, or if you want to rewatch it, it will be permanently saved in the group video section. You will still be able to ask questions in the group or reach out to Jenn.
All important announcements and the replays of the videos will be kept in the “Announcements” section of the Facebook group, so they will be easy to find.
FAQ
Q: What if I want to take the class with a friend, should we both register?
A: As many of us are starting to get together with friends again, to hang out and hopefully create together. I wanted to remind you that the policy for my online classes is that everyone who is taking the class should register for the class. It is not fair for a group of friends to get together under one registration. The class fee is very affordable and a lot of hours go into designing and hosting the classes, I hope you will understand and support me.
Q: How long will you have access to the class
A: Indefinitely (as long as Facebook is around)
Q: I donโt have Facebook. How can I join the class?
A: Because we are using Facebookโs platform to host the class, you must have a Facebook account to join.
Q: I plan on taking the class with a friend, do we both need to sign up?
A: Just as if you were to take the class in person, everyone that plans to attend the class, should sign up and pay for the class.
Q: I donโt have all the supplies listed.
A: You can always substitute for similar items, or leave something out. Email Jenn if you have questions
Q: Your class is at 11 am Eastern time, but I live in England. What time will your class air?
A: Go to World Clock and personalize the clocks at the top with New York time and your local time.
Q: I took one online live class. Will your next class go to the same group?
A: No, each class will have its own unique Facebook group. You must sign up for each class separately.
Q: Where do I find the video?
A: On the day of class, pull the group up on your phone, tablet, or computer. When class starts, you will see a post that Jenn is going Live in the group. Click on that to watch. After class is over, you can watch the video by clicking on the โVideoโ section of the group.
Q: What payment options do you offer?
A: All major credit cards and PayPal
Q: Can I have a refund for the class
A: Unfortunately, since you have already gained access to the class resource page, and were provided the website and password there are no refunds.
Q: I have technical problems!
A: Email Jenn and she will do her best to help. However, if she is in the middle of the LIVE she obviously will not be able to get back to you until after. Note that the classes will work well on your computer with a high-speed internet connection. They are not guaranteed to work on tablets, but we have tested them on our iPad and they worked well.
Q: In what language are the classes?
A: The classes are in English. There is no written transcript of the videos. However, people from all over the world have been taking Jenn’s online classes.
Q: When will the class handout be available?
A: All handouts are posted on the password-protected class resource page.
- The downloadable supply list and class prep handout is available when registration opens for the class
- The class handout with full images of the cards, coloring guides etc is available a few days before the LIVE class is hosted.

What a fun and informative class! I am very new to card-making and this was my first class ever but it definitely won’t be my last. Jenn’s designs are so detailed and fun and her teaching style definitely matches her designs. The class works through every step front start to finish for the cards, but I got so much more out of the experience than some finished cards. The class was peppered with tips, tricks and techniques that can be applied in so many ways. I am so thankful that I found my way to Jenn and her classes and look forward to joining in on many more in the future. Take the class – you won’t regret it!

Jenn is a great teacher. I really enjoyed this class. It was my first with her. Watching her use her copics to colour was amazing!! I am just started to use alcohol markers & finally know how to use them. I made a Christmas card last night & amazed myself with my colouring using the tips I learnt from Jenn. I will definitely take more of her classes.

I am a repeat offender of taking Jen’s online card classes. I must confess I have taken them all!! Jen is an awesome teacher! She gives you tips & tricks along the way and really breaks down copic coloring. I can honestly say my coloring has improved so much since I started with her classes. The online classes/ Facebook group is a wonderful community full of inspiration, support and a very talented group!! I love the handouts Jen creates for all her classes. They are amazing!! You will not be disappointed!! What are you waiting for?!?

I have now taken multiple online classes with a Jenn Shurkus. They never disappoint and Penguin Party is no exception. The cards we made were a-DOR-able!! Jenn treats every class as if itโs everyoneโs first, which makes it super easy to follow. I love the flow of the day, and that you can go back later to re-watch the Lives if needed. The prep guides and class handouts are a thoughtful addition to the experience. These penguin cards are actually really versatile and I could see using them for Christmas, winter, birthday, friendship, etc. cards. If you havenโt yet joined the partyโฆyou should!

This was my 4th or 5th class with Jenn! I always learn something new and always get so inspired! Her card designs are always the cutest and her backgrounds are always so creative! You also get a print out for class prep, coloring and putting the cards together! Jennโs classes are the best, you will always be happy with your cards and everything that you learn!

All I can say is, run, don’t walk, or rather, type faster and click purchase for one, or all, of the classes Jenn offers!!! I just took my first class, Penguin Party and I loved it. I learned so much, and Jenn goes at a good pace for all levels of makers. I appreciate the fact that she checks on us during class, and is so attentive to details. I will most definitely be adding more classes to my cart soon. I am going to challenge myself to even try using things I have in my supply already. Seems like a fun challenge on top of getting the things for the class or getting a kit from a store that supplies them.
Thanks for your great teaching Jenn.

I have taken many classes with Jenn(in person and online) and they are all awesome. Jenn does an amazing job with everything from showing you how to get a good colored image to putting the card together. A class with Jenn will NEVER disappoint!

This is the second class I have taken with Jenn and I am not disappointed. Since the very first class I took, Iโve learned more about the art of colouring that I ever thought possible. Jenn is quite funny and extremely interactive with us during the live class. And I love that she is a real person, any questions before or after the class, Jenn always answers. I know I will certainly be taking future classes.

What an absolutely wonderful class!! Jenn’s teaching style makes creating cards easy. Her classes are upbeat and fun, as interactive as you can be virtually and are designed for all levels of card makers. I have taken many of Jenn’s classes this year and always look forward to them.
April Davis (verified owner) –
Such a fun class and Jenn took the time to explain each step and kept a great pace, all while answering questions. She uses several techniques and provides awesome resources for reference. Any class with Jenn is worth your time!

This was my first class with Jenn and it definitely wonโt be my last! I canโt believe how much I learned in one class. There are so many different things that I have taken away and I canโt wait to keep crafting. The pace of the class was great and I was able to keep up easily. The finished cards are beautiful and I canโt wait to give them to some special people! Thank you soooo much for a great class Jenn! Canโt wait for the next one!

I have taken all of Jennโs card classes, and I absolutely love her! She teaches you everything you need to do the class, has many tricks and tips along the way. The cards come out stunning and beautiful. I hope she does a class every month, well worth the money and time. Her passion for lawn fawn is wicked and I love them too! Thanks jenn, keep them coming and never stop creating.

Jennโs classes are always so much fun! Her classes are great for both beginners and experienced crafters, you will always learn something. Besides learning, I just love to spend a couple hours with people who love crafting as much as I do!
Recinda Shafer –
What an amaxing class. I have been a crafter for 30 years and taken many classes but what sets this one apart is Jenn. Her attention to detail such as leaving the cap from the copic marker in the camera view so you can make sure you are using the right color, to her words of encouragement throughout the perfectly paced class make this a websitei I will return to for claass every time. Thank you for the new techniques and helpful hints.
Alicia Kupilik (verified owner) –
This class was so much fun and I loved the cards! I love learning new techniques I never had thought of before.
Ellie (verified owner) –
This class was a lot of fun. The cards we made and the bonus cards are adorable and can be used for any occasion depending on what you add to the inside message. Love how Jenn shows you step by step without rushing you along. And you can watch the replay as many times as you want. I cannot wait for the next class. Jennโs classes are all fantastic.
Debbie Bonczek (verified owner) –
Something about this class was just special. As much as I am not a fan of winter and cold being in New England, the colors and cuteness gave me an entirely different take. I had so much fun at the Penguin Party. I created my three cards, two extras that are based and modeled after the bonus cards, and one additional card of my own. There are more to come as well. Jen’s classes are always fabulous.
