In this class, we will explore the world of Distress and learn all about Distress mixed media techniques while creating a finished project that is perfect to hang in your crafty space. Spend the day with Cheiron Brandon learning how to create one of her favorite mixed media projects, her Distress Mixed Media Hearts Canvas, in her favorite rainbow palette (but you can use your favorite palette and other options will be shown). This class will take you through the process of creating this project from start to finish. Cheiron will share her design concept, show you how to plan your project and walk you through each and every step of the creative process so you will have a beautiful mixed-media canvas at the end of class. This class is a true mixed media experience and is perfect for beginners, experienced crafters, and seasoned ones; there is always something new to learn!

All of the class videos will be available to watch in private YouTube videos. There is no need to have Facebook to participate!

Fabulous class. Very easy to follow. Like the different color selections to make the project your own and your decor.

This class was simply amazing. I did it in real time (nearly impossible for me to do, so this was a treat) and found Cheiron’s pace and instructions to be just right. She took time and care to explain each step, and made sure that all of the live attendees had questions answered and were able to follow along. Even though I am a seasoned crafter, I always learn something new from Cheiron’s classes and this was no exception. She is so creative! Like many of us (I suspect) I had a large collection of largely unused Distress products lurking in my craft space (Mica Sprays and Embossing Glazes, specifically) and it was so much fun to use them to make something so beautiful. Even though I had a couple of mishaps (used too much texture paste with my stencil, used WAY too much stencil pastes over the color), I rolled with it, and my final project is something that I truly love, am proud of, and can’t wait to display in my craft room for all time. Heck, I might even make another one of these at some point, either for a friend, or for myself (using a palette other than the rainbow I initially choice). I hope Cheiron continues to offer more classes in the future. This was a joy!

This class was amazing! Cheiron was organized and showed lots of examples as we created our project. This class stretched my creativity into mediums I do not normally use and I loved that she got me to try new things. I can’t wait to get another canvas and try it again with the techniques I learned and maybe try some others. I can’t say enough good things about this class, it was fun, it was playful, it was creative, and I am ready for Cheiron to teach another class! Thanks so much Cheiron, for an amazing class! I hope to see more from you in the future!

This class was so amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Cheiron, was completely organized and professional. Starting with the class handout that was explained perfectly, the video instruction on making the hearts, and using the mediums and sprays. Cheiron did a great job and I feel so much more comfortable using these products and completing any project.
The class was well paced and the participants were encouraged to ask questions if needed to better understand the process.
Looking forward to other classes given by Cheiron.
    Thank you Cheiron !!

What a wonderful class! Cheiron is so very knowledgeable about mixed media, I took away far more than just making the heart canvas. She offered so many tricks and tips as well as information about distress inks. If I had any reservations about using mica sprays (in particular) before, I have gained confidence in applying them to my makes. The class pushed my envelope past card making (no pun intended) and opened new confidence in mixed media. Thank you, Cheiron, for sharing your skill, your talent and YOU with us!

This was a great class & the first one in a long while where I actually completed my project!!! Cheiron is an excellent teacher – she knows all the things. Excellent written instructions and wonderful live video with the instruction. I had many of these products but hadn’t had anytime to play with them in quite a while. When I saw this piece, it spoke to me and I knew I needed to take this class. Cheiron definitely needs to be teaching more Mixed Media Classes, period! Looking forward to the next one.

This class was so amazing. Haven’t used these products or they’ve been collecting dust; this is a must take class. Cheiron is amazing and explains everything so well that you are so comfortable with all the products used. Along with signing up for class you get an amazing handout with all the color combos and step by step directions. Loving my project so much and started a second.
Thank you Cheiron for an amazing class. Can’t wait to take another online class with Cheiron.

What a wonderful class. Cheiron does a fantastic job teaching in a manner that is easy to understand. There are so many good bits of information along the way as well. Although I have used most of the products we incorporated in the class project, it was my first time using distress embossing glaze. Even though I dropped a whole container of seedless preserves embossing glaze on my craft room floor, I am in love with the product and can’t wait to use them more.

This $30 was money well spent. Products are so expensive and if they just sit on your shelf it is a waste of money. Many of us are intimidated by the number of different pastes, sprays, glazes etc on the market we don’t know what to buy or where to start!
This class is a must if you are one of these. Cheiron explains all the many products she uses and why she uses them. The unique end result is beautiful in its color, shine, texture and composition.
I did not have 14 of any of the color palette’s but it didn’t matter. I just used what I did have and made my own combination’s. You can too. The hearts are beautiful on cards and tags or even in a bowl on the table!
I love that I can now go back and rewatch the video if I need a refresher. I tend to forget things If I don’t use them all the time, but I think this is one technique I will be using a lot!
    Happy crafting!

This class was great, Cheiron did a wonderful job of explaining everything and the handouts are vey well put together. I have already started woking on a second canvas. I can’t wait to see what other classes she will have in the future.

This class is a MUST! It got me to try so many new things! I loved the project we made and I’m going to make more for gifts. But more importantly I learned lots of techniques that I can use for other projects. Cheiron is very good at breaking things down into smaller steps and explaining her process and you can go back and watch the video whenever you need to. Can’t wait to make another project in a different color palette! If you’re hesitating about this class, don’t! It will bring a whole new dimension to your projects.

This class was simply amazing! Cheiron provided a detailed supply list and a class handout with step-by-step instructions, as well as a homework video demonstrating how to assemble the hearts used in the project. The live class was perfectly paced. Cheiron took time to explain the properties of the various Distress mediums used, demonstrated how to use them, and answered questions as they arose. I loved every minute of this class, and the freedom I felt while creating to play with my supplies and get my fingers VERY inky! I can’t wait to see what online offerings Cheiron will have in the future!

If you can’t travel to Cheiron this is the next best thing! The class was well organized, and the pace was perfect. Fair warning do your homework. The prep video for making the heart was amazing. I have avoided the hearts because they seemed complicated. Cheiron broke down the process and by the time I made the 3rd one I felt like a pro!!! Sprays are not my jam but after taking this class it reinforced some of the techniques I learned from Jenn’s class sprays and mediums.
Take the class, treat yourself to 4 hours of yummy fun.

I would agree with everything that was said above. A friend convinced me to take the class and I learned so much! Cheiron provided a wonderful handout and explained everything well and at a great pace! Thank you so much!

Session 2 has just ended and my sparkle texture paste isn’t even dry yet but I wanted to leave a review right away. This was an amazing class! I love how Cheiron not only explained how different products worked but she took the time to demonstrate how they worked. The pace was perfect. Her instructions were clear. The handout was super detailed and easy to follow and her homework video made prep work so much easier. Mixed media is an art form that does not come easily to me. It pushes me to think differently and to use products I don’t normally use. Throughout the day, I kept saying “wow” to myself as I was so blown away with each added layer and technique. I even started thinking, “I wonder what it would look like if I did this or that.” I can’t believe I am saying this but I have ordered more canvases so I can try all those things I was wondering about!! Thank you, Cheiron, for giving me the confidence to try some new things and even branch out on my own a little bit. My only question is: “When is the next class??”
