Happy Hugs – Online Class

** Note: The LIVE portion has already taken place. Class resources are available. A replay of the class videos, group participation, coloring guides, and handouts **

Join Jenn Shurkus for an online class, hosted in a private Facebook group!

Happy Hugs is an opportunity to create 3 unique cards from start to finish with Jenn! Jenn will have dedicated time to go over Copic coloring of all the images and other techniques LIVE as well as tips and tricks about designing your own cards. Then there will be dedicated time to assembling the cards. As in Jenn’s in-person classes, this is when she will share tips, tricks, and processes with you. We will actually be creating more than 3 cards because once you start playing with the new plaid stencils, you won’t want to stop!

All of the class videos are available to watch in the private Facebook group.

Also included in the class:

  • downloadable supply list
  • card kit prep information
  • images of all the cards, including detailed shots
  • supplies listed per card as well as assembly information
  • Copic coloring guides (If you do not have Copic markers you can choose to color with a different medium and you will still find the coloring guides helpful)
  • 2 bonus card designs

Some feedback from previous class attendees:

“This was my first class with Jenn, other than during a Crop & Create event. Iโ€™m officially Jennabled! The kitting & class handouts were so detailed and perfect for referring back to during class. I loved how the day was split into two halves โ€“ for colouring and building. Jenn is easy to listen to all day; I felt like I was in the craft room with her. Her directions were clear, and I am feeling so much more confident about my alcohol marker work. Loved every minute and cannot wait to take another workshop with her!”

“This class was so great! I struggle with scene cards and Jenn makes it so easy for me. Jenn is a great teacher. She is very thorough. Class is always fun. And I love that we have the Facebook group to ask questions and interact.”

“I love the pace of Jennโ€™s classes and the attention to detail on the handouts!”

  • log in to your account
  • then under “my orders” find the order for the particular class, click that

FAQ

Q: What if I want to take the class with a friend, should we both register?
A: As many of us are starting to get together with friends again, to hang out and hopefully create together. I wanted to remind you that the policy for my online classes is that everyone who is taking the class should register for the class. It is not fair for a group of friends to get together under one registration. The class fee is very affordable and a lot of hours go into designing and hosting the classes, I hope you will understand and support me.

Q: How long will you have access to the class
A: Indefinitely (as long as Facebook is around)

Q: I donโ€™t have Facebook. How can I join the class?
A: Because we are using Facebookโ€™s platform to host the class, you must have a Facebook account to join.

Q: I plan on taking the class with a friend, do we both need to sign up?
A: Just as if you were to take the class in-person, everyone that plans to attend the class, should sign up and pay for the class.

Q: I donโ€™t have all the supplies listed.
A: You can always substitute for similar items, or leave something out. Email Jenn if you have questions

Q: Your class is at 11 am Eastern time, but I live in England. What time will your class air?
A: Go to World Clock and personalize the clocks at the top with New York time and your local time.

Q: I took one online live class. Will your next class go to the same group?
A: No, each class will have its own unique Facebook group. You must sign up for each class separately.

Q: Where do I find the video?
A: On the day of class, pull the group up on your phone, tablet, or computer. When class starts, you will see a post that Jenn is going Live in the group. Click on that to watch. After class is over, you can watch the video by clicking on the โ€œVideoโ€ section of the group.

Q: What payment options do you offer?
A: All major credit cards and PayPal

Q: Can I have a refund for the class
A: Unfortunately, since you have already gained access to the class resource page, and were provided the website and password there are no refunds.

Q: I have technical problems!
A: Email Jenn and she will do her best to help. However, if she is in the middle of the LIVE she obviously will not be able to get back to you until after. Note that the classes will work well on your computer with a high-speed internet connection. They are not guaranteed to work on tablets, but we have tested them on our iPad and they worked well.

Q: In what language are the classes?
A: The classes are in English. There is no written transcript of the videos.

Q: When will the class handout be available?
A: All handouts are posted on the password-protected class resource page.

  • The downloadable supply list is available when registration opens for the class
  • The class prep handout will be available approx a week after class registration opens
  • The class handout with full images of the cards, coloring guides etc is available a few days before the LIVE class is hosted

Such fun and fabulous interactive cards. Jenn always incorporates many different techniques and interactive elements to make your cards pop.

I have taken every online class Jenn has given & will continue as long as she has them! She is a great teacher, has a great attitude and flow and she makes the classes fun. I was actually in the hospital for this class and watched it live, because I knew it would cheer me up! I then made the cards later & know that I can go back anytime and make the cards again, too! The prep work Jenn puts into these classes is amazing. I have a notebook that I keep all the printouts in, use dividers for each class and now even put the prep work in the page protectors so that I can go back and re-make cards with all the prep done! Hint* Jenn has a great notebook & dividers in her shop!

Another great class. After taking the Mermazing class I signed up for this one. I have been card making a long time but over the last 10 years or so it has been sporadic. I discovered Lawn Fawn and renewed my interest. Jennโ€™s classes are great to keep updated with the newest ideas and it is pretty simple to substitute some items with all my old stuff so I donโ€™t feel like I need to buy all the things at once. (On the other hand, I may have bought a few too many things after her classes because they are just too fun!) even if you donโ€™t have all the supplies, test out a class. Substitute and learn some helpful techniques!

I just finished this happy Hugs class. It was so much fun! The cards are adorable. Jenn is a wonderful teacher. She keeps class going at a great pace for everyone and her instructions are easy to understand. She always gives awesome tips throughout the class.

I am new to the card making world and taking this class has elevated my cards so much! Jennโ€™s class has made me feel excited to tackle new techniques and explore all of my newly purchased supplies! Iโ€™ve purchased 4 more classes after having such a great time in this one! Jenn is an amazing teacher.
