Optional Supplies
Once you have purchased this online class, you are able to access the class resource page by logging into your account www.shurkus.com/my-account , choosing “classes & events” and then choosing this class. On the class resource page, you will find the class supply list. You will also find the details about the class LIVES which are hosted on private YouTube links. As the class gets closer the class handout will be posted there as well.
Starting with classes in 2023 I will no longer be starting a private Facebook group for each class that I offer. Now that class videos are hosted on YouTube and all private information can be found on the class resource page here on my website, I don’t feel there is much of a need. I also will contact class attendees with any important class updates or changes via email, so no one will miss anything. Now I encourage you to join my {creative chick} studio share Facebook group, which is a public group and open to any papercrafters. You can still share posts in the group as you are preparing for class, what your crafty space looks like all set up and your projects after class. If you have questions specifically about the class you can still ask them in this group, and tag me in the post by typing @jennshurkus to tag me. OR you can send me an email at [email protected]
With the supplies you have gathered ahead of time, you will be able to watch the videos and create right along with me as I teach. In order to be able to comment, ask questions, and interact with other students you will need an account with Google. You can also share your projects in the Facebook group or on social media using the hashtag #CreativeChickClasses. If you happen to miss the live broadcast, or if you want to rewatch it, it will be permanently saved on YouTube. You can also leave a comment on the YouTube video after class with questions, post in the Facebook group, or you can also email me questions.

So glad I didn’t give up on mixed media. Luv the look, the freedom, the creativity, the expression of it. Luvd the virtual format. Pace is not too fast, not too slow…just right. I thoroughly enjoyed this class. I was fortunate enough to have the stamp set Jenn used but love that she offers the option to purchase it when registering for the class. As with all Jenn’s classes, you don’t need her exact supplies and she always encourages you to use what you have.
This class is full of techniques. The layers we created on the backgrounds were amazing. I often struggle with the “you get what you get” aspect of mixed media but Jenn does an excellent job of walking you through each step. The leaves on the cards are probably my favorite part. The colors and patterns the techniques used made them look amazing. I am pretty impressed with what I created during class. If you are interested in trying mixed media or if you are experienced in it, I recommend taking this class. You will definitely learn new things and walk away with 5 creative cards you are proud of.
