Description: We are made of stories. Stories remind us of our shared humanity, strengthen and build the connections between each other, and weave into the fabric of our culture the understanding that everyone’s story matters. Take your scrapbook journaling from simply date, place, and time to the deeper telling of your story. In this class, we will focus on different ways in which to tell our stories on our pages and practice adding journaling that goes beyond the date and time of the photos themselves by using journaling prompts and storytelling strategies. We will mix stamps and–yes–our own perfectly imperfect handwriting to tell the stories of who we are and who and what we love. In this class, participants will create two layouts, one about themselves and one about someone or something they love.
Supply list: Adhesive, paper trimmer, foam tape or squares, scissors, and two photos: one of yourself and one of someone or something that you love.
