FAQ

Q: What if I want to take the class with a friend, should we both register?
A: As many of us are starting to get together with friends again, to hang out and hopefully create together. I wanted to remind you that the policy for my online classes is that everyone who is taking the class should register for the class. It is not fair for a group of friends to get together under one registration. The class fee is very affordable and a lot of hours go into designing and hosting the classes, I hope you will understand and support me.

Q: How long will you have access to the class
A: Indefinitely (as long as Facebook is around)

Q: I don’t have Facebook. How can I join the class?
A: Because we are using Facebook’s platform to host the class, you must have a Facebook account to join.

Q: I plan on taking the class with a friend, do we both need to sign up?
A: Just as if you were to take the class in person, everyone that plans to attend the class, should sign up and pay for the class.

Q: I don’t have all the supplies listed.
A: You can always substitute for similar items, or leave something out. Email Jenn if you have questions

Q: Your class is at 11 am Eastern time, but I live in England. What time will your class air?
A: Go to World Clock and personalize the clocks at the top with New York time and your local time.

Q: I took one online live class. Will your next class go to the same group?
A: No, each class will have its own unique Facebook group. You must sign up for each class separately.

Q: Where do I find the video?
A: On the day of class, pull the group up on your phone, tablet, or computer. When class starts, you will see a post that Jenn is going Live in the group. Click on that to watch. After class is over, you can watch the video by clicking on the “Video” section of the group.

Q: What payment options do you offer?
A: All major credit cards Venmo and PayPal

Q: Can I have a refund for the class
A: Unfortunately, since you have already gained access to the class resource page, and were provided the website and password there are no refunds.

Q: I have technical problems!
A: Email Jenn and she will do her best to help. However, if she is in the middle of the LIVE she obviously will not be able to get back to you until after. Note that the classes will work well on your computer with a high-speed internet connection. They are not guaranteed to work on tablets, but we have tested them on our iPad and they worked well.

Q: In what language are the classes?
A: The classes are in English. There is no written transcript of the videos. However, people from all over the world have been taking Jenn’s online classes.

Q: When will the class handout be available?
A: All handouts are posted on the password-protected class resource page.

  • The downloadable supply list and class prep handout is available when registration opens for the class
  • The class handout with full images of the cards, coloring guides etc is available a few days before the LIVE class is hosted.

What I like most about Jenn’s classes is the detail she puts into the class materials and the thoughtful way she shares knowledge. I take her classes mostly to continue to improve my Copic coloring skills. With her detailed materials and recorded instruction bettering your coloring skills is sure to be the result of taking one of her classes. The classes she designs are also filled with cute cards so that is an added bonus, but the big win, and so worth the cost of the class, is the coloring guides and instruction! Attending her classes has helped me elevate my Copic work many levels!

Another amazing and worthwhile class by Jenn Shurkus!! I am an avid paper crafter and a huge Lawn Fawn fan. I really enjoy crafting with Jenn because her designs are stinkin’ fantastic, her teaching is outstanding, the bonus cards are always inspiring and I get warm fuzzies from being part of her class community. Jenn is so responsive – always taking the time to read and respond to comments and questions. This really enhances the community/classroom feel. The pace of the class was great, lots of excellent tips, and it’s very helpful that the Facebook Live is available to watch or re-watch anytime after the class. The handouts are fantastic as well. I love being “Jenn-abled” – it’s my “ME-TIME”. Signing up for Jenn’s class also helps to make sure that I use all my new Lawn Fawn goodies!! I’ve learned to “glitter all the things” and I’m developing my copic colouring skills. My first class was “Joyful Holiday” in 2021 and now I’m hooked. Thanks for another fun and worthwhile online class Jenn!!

Taking a class with Jenn is the perfect way to spend a Saturday! She is such a knowledgeable and engaging teacher and an inspiring creator. Her classes are really relaxed and laid-back in style, making it feel like you’re just hanging out with a bunch of friends, but you come away with beautiful cards and more insight into design and techniques. I have to say I am very impressed with the quality and detail of the class resources. Step by step instructions are provided which is incredibly useful, particularly with the Copic coloring guides. Whether you’re a beginner or a long-time crafter, you will love this class!

Jenn’s classes are like creating cards with your bestie! She is so open about all the things and just invites you in … even to wish her dad a happy birthday during one of the classes because he was tuning in to see his daughter’s accomplishments, which I just found endearing beyond words! If you are new to cardmaking, coloring and putting the pieces together, she’s got you covered. If you are an experienced cardmaker and think you know all the things, you may just pick up a little tidbit that will make your crafting a little easier. Either way, her classes are just a fun escape to be with fellow crafters. Jenn is also very talented at reading comments and teaching at the same time! I do highly recommend her classes. Very affordable pricing for what I’m sure takes hours of preparation to make it all happen. Five Stars!

I discovered Jenn Shurkus classes in 2021 and have since taken ALL her online classes. Card-makers of all levels will pick up useful tips from Jenn. My Copic coloring skills have greatly improved and I’ve discovered new ways to use my craft supplies. Treat yourself to a Creative Chick class. You’ll be hooked!!!!!

Taking a class with Jenn is so enjoyable. I have taken several and have purchased the ones I hadn’t taken so that I can go back and enjoy them and make more cards! I am learning how to use my supplies and sending out adorable cards. So much fun! I encourage everyone to at least try one class. You will be hooked!

The instructions were very clear and Jenn did an amazing job answering questions as we went. It was a great way to spend a winter cold day together crafting and earning new things. I can’t believe how many new techniques I learned!!!! It was a great day!

  9. Deb Glover (verified owner)

Jenn is such a fun-loving person and she brings that to her classes!! This class was a blast and I came away with so much card-making knowledge. The instruction on Copic coloring gave everyone insights and tips. My confidence in using Copics has greatly increased. Thank you Jenn, you’re the best!

This was my first class with Jenn! I was always intimidated by coloring with Copics and the small Lawn Fawn images but decided I needed to change up my cardmaking “style”. Took the plunge and signed up for this class. Jenn does a great job of explaining coloring, blending, shading techniques with the Copics. The small Lawn Fawn images are fun to color and once I got started, I can’t stop stamping, die cutting and coloring a bunch of the images to have ready for more cards. Will be signing up for more classes and definitely purchasing more LF sets!

  11. Lindsy (verified owner)

Another stellar class! These itty bitty skunks just might be my new favourite. The two part class moves at a reasonable pace, with tons of tips & tricks. Jenn makes colouring and assembly easy. The designs are adorable, and there’s always room to make adjustments if you need to. I cannot recommend Jenn Shurkus’ classes enough — they are ALL fantastical!

  12. ROBIN E BERNIER (verified owner)

Jenn did it again!! Her classes are the best!! She is such a great teacher!! I love the coloring guides in her class handouts. They make copic coloring so much easier. Since discovering Jenn last year, I have become a much better card maker. The cards in this class are so stinkin’ cute.

  13. Jennifer Martin (verified owner)

Another amazing class by Jenn Shurkus. I have taken a few of her classes now and they do not disappoint. I have learned so much about colouring with copic markers in this class as well as previous classes I have taken from her. I would highly recommend any one of her classes. She takes time explaining things and makes the class fun. I look forward to Jenn’s next class offerings. If I am unable to make a class, I always know it will be waiting for me to watch at my leisure when I do have the time to take the class.

  14. Holly Serrette (verified owner)

I absolutely loved this class. Jenn is thorough and engaging. Through the whole class she would pause and make sure attendees were doing ok. My Copic coloring is getting so much better thanks to what I’ve learned from her (the Copic 101 blog post and Lawn Fawn create with me sessions). Taking a live class was next level!!! The cards themselves were amazing!!! I’m so happy I took this class.
