thought i would share the rest of the layouts i got done while my girls were here.
when i scrapbook.. i pretty much scrapbook for ME , i don't stress about how many photos i have, i don't stress about the order, or event i might have missed. I scrap the pics that speak to me at that time… the silly times and the memories i want to remember. I enjoy the process… some layouts can take me hours and hours…
i love just USING my stuff
… and playing!!!!
wish i had more time to scrapbook… maybe that will work into the plan of 2011… but it's ok if not…. as long as i continue to be able to be creative one way or another
i was so excited to finally make it to one of liz's halloween parties!!! and the fact that cheiron was able to come up from NYC was even better!! … and how excited was i when i was going through my stash to find a "totally wicked" sticker!? perfect for us new england, north east girls!!!
as you can see.. halloween this year was a FUN FILLED weekend!! I had so many good photos from it, i couldn't stop scrapping them!! I love the title on this layout… (triple trouble toil & bubble) and all those strips of yummy basic gray halloween papers are all individually edge distressed!!! yep. i know, i'm crazy…. but it looks YUMMY in person!!
just a funny memory from the many late nights spent with chaindrive
I had no clue what i was going to be for halloween… last minute i found this pink gun, and the the hat.. and i just went from there! I loved being gangsta!! i actually wish i could just be that most nights we go out
and how perfect that i'm obsessed with p!nk's song "raise your glass"
when kim sent me my assignments for guest deigner.. i laughed when one was "blue/orange" because i had already assigned my stamp club at colorful creations a blue/orange swap for our january meeting!
so i decided to combine the 2 and actually get some swap cards done
I stamped "moon belly" 3 times. once on the label i cut from spellbinders, once on some old school chatterbox paper, and the last time on some scrap cardstock. I colored her with copic markers. I pieced her dress from the old school chatterbox paper and the turquoise circle on her belly from the scrap cardstock (that i colored also with copic markers)
i glittered her wings with my quickie glue pen and ultrafine glitter. I then inked the edges of the label with a creamy brown chalk ink
i used some we r memory keepers pattern paper for the clouds, and edge distressed all 4 sides… yes, i'm still obsessed with my edge distresser!!
then i stamped my "tall word collage" from stampotique 5-6 times on the left over old school chatterbox papers… i cut out different words for each card, and popped them up with foam tape.
i'm really pleased with how these came out, and even made a couple extra to send to some good friends as a surprise!
make sure you pop on over to the stampotique designers challenge blog… for your chance to win a $30 GC with stampotique!
supplies used:
copic original markers ( W2, R20, E21, E11, E53, E37, E59, BG10, BG13, BG32),black memento ink, we r memory keepers patterned paper, spellbinders nestabilities, tonic edge distresser, bazzill cardstock, old school aka from a WICKED long time ago chatterbox pattern paper, creamy brown distress ink, versafine black ink, foam tape, stampotique stamps; 7167 tall word collage, 6039 moon belly
i love how mister harley likes to "help" me with my projects, and gutting pumpkins is just one of them theres a mix of creative imaginations, my minds eye, and making memories pattern papers… girls paperie and thickers stickers
melyssa had given me and jos a print of landon's hand when we celebrated latka day…. elijah's didn't come out so pretty…. so she passed on his…. so i wanted to scrap it… melyssa had the perfect pic i could use.. landon in the super cute hoodie his auntie jenny got him. I'm so thankful for melyssa and lukes boys… they are my family and i'm proud to be their auntie jenny
this layout was done with some old school ki memories papers…. digging through my stash
i loved this pic of christy and 27 from halloween.. i just had to scrap it
basic grey pattern paper, reminisce sticker letters, and fiskars ghost punch (thanks dawn for notifying me that i owned this punch
)
i'll post some more layouts later this week… i was totally on a halloween kick… because i realized how many halloween papers i was hoarding!!! eeeekkk!!
I sent out these save-the-dates before the holidays… all but one of my girls could make it.. hey thats good odds when you have different states, husbands, work, kids, and boyfriends into the mix!!
melyssa's husband luke thought he would be funny and he shipped me this after seeing you can ship a flip flop in the mail
that luke. he's a funny guy
so with a threat of yucky winter weather friday.. it cleared in time for everyone to make it down to the island… steph was the only one who couldn't come… shes a busy busy girl
and has had TONS of island time in the past year, so i figured i would forgive her!!
dawn, josie, melyssa and stacy all arrived safely and filled the island with their crafty stuff and laughter…. just what i needed after a couple crappy weeks…. these girls are my chosen family, and even though we don't get to see each other often… when we do, we pick up right where we left off!!! it's freakin great!! i am so thankful for them!
girls weekend also means its a weekend where i get to scrap just for me… no assignments, no classes, just me
lots of funny stories were shared… confiding in not so fun times… and plans of a few more get togethers in 2011 that i'm WICKED excited for
mister harley was really good too… most of the time he slept in his box on my crafty table (we were all crafting in the livingroom….)
only one pic was taken…. but that ok… all the memories are in my mind (and on the bathroom wall hehehehe)
I'll share some of the layouts i created 2morrow and later in the week!
i put the word "guest" in quotes, because i guess technically until feb 1st i am still a guest designer haha
if anyone were to ask me what my fave thing is to create with stampotique stamps.. it would have to be my artsy fartsy quote canvases….
i have had the goth girls and guys for a long time.. i just love them, but wasn't sure what to do with them. Then i started making these mini pieces of art with them.. they are perfect!!
the first one featured here is a new one i made the other day… the rest i have made over the past year… enjoy!
when i started my guest design position for stampotique this month i noticed they were having a design team call… kinda put it in my brain to think about it, but didn't really think too much about it
kim, from the design team and i were emailing one night about my assignments for the month and she mentioned it to me.. asked if i would be interested… said she and carol would love having me… so i asked her what would be required of me.. didn't want to take on too much…. read that over… and accepted
i'm so excited to be working with a SUPER talented team… from all over the WORLD!! Pop on over the stampotique designer's blog.. and check out everyone's work… AMAZING!
i was looking over my stamp shelves and i know i have collected a TON of jill & Daniel's goth girl and guys… but i also have some VERY old school stampotique from back when a worked at caardvark in concord NH in 2001!!
once again, just neat how everything comes full circle you know?
I already have some classes planned with stampotique images… stay tuned on more info on that…
